Medhaj News: If you ask me about one thing today that gives you a voice strong enough to be resonated across the globe, from the orient to the west, I would say Twitter. With the hashtags, trending issues and retweets, it has taken the shape of an outrage spot. More like a mountain, where you can scream out your heart about whatever issue you like.

Your major role on twitter and to follow any celebrity accelerates with the laden hashtags, the late night TV premier show or their appearance in any flick. Weighing your words becomes really very important when you are a widely followed personality.

With Gaza crisis issue heating up day by day, celebrities and other well-known names and a few who desperately want them to be taken seriously took to Twitter to curse Isreal over the inhuman killings in Palestine and attempts to invade the country.

Here is a list of some Bollywood and Hollywood celebs who were caught in crossfire and a proxy war on the Internet after they tweeted about Gaza.

Selena Gomez: The Disney’s pop princess posted an unrelated image on instagram and the caption read “It’s about humanity. Pray for Gaza”. Later the questions arose asking if Gomez was pro-Hamas. She then did not delete her post and followed up with another instagram post that read “And of course to be clear, I am not picking any sides. I am praying for peace and humanity for all!”

Beyonce: Beyonce too tweeted asking to maintain peace and harmony in Palestine and then later a picture was posted on Facebook which read an anti Israel message from Beyonce.

Rihanna:

Robert De Niro: Robert De Niro made a very strong statement to condemn Israel and USA along with it.

Bryan Adams: Bryan Adams took to Twitter to criticize Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper regarding Canada's lack of aid to "Palestinian people" while mentioning British Prime Minister David Cameron's stance. Bryan also criticised the attack of Israel on Palestine.

When asking aid from the Canadian Prime Minister, Bryan was also critisised by his own countrymen.

Whoopie Goldberg: The actress retweeted the following: "Whoopi can you please RT that the men, women & children in Gaza, Palestine have been getting Massacred for the past week."

Now here is the list for Bollywood celebrities.

Chetan Bhagat: However India’s bestselling author, Chetan Bhagat steals the show with provoking the Twitterati with this inputs on the situation. Apart from opining that what’s happening in Gaza he tweeted “the only way sometimes terrorist organizations and their supporters learn to behave” and thinking that “Israel has made its point,” he went on to clarify that “all his tweets should be read together” to be understood. To which angry tweeple gave him an earful. “It’s okay to shut up if you don’t know about a topic. You don’t HAVE to have an opinion on everything,” said Prachi, a blogger.

Shah Rukh Khan: Khan’s tweet read, ‘The killing of & killing by little children will solve nothing for the 'victims' or the 'victims of the victims.' Prayers Peace Palestine.’

Sonakshi Sinha: Prayers, peace and love. #PrayForGaza #PrayForPalestine

Arjun Kapoor: Bombing for peace what bullshit!!! #PrayForGaza

It’s better to take a stance and stick to it than sway to public opinion which a few celebrities created in the first place.
