The Kashmir Council European Union (KCEU) organized candle light vigil in Brussels to “express solidarity with Kashmir”.
A large number of people from all walks of life as well as representatives of different NGOs attended the event held near Brussels’ Trone Metro Station, close to the residence of the prime minister of Belgium.
Holding placards bearing anti-India slogans, the participants expressed solidarity with Kashmiris especially families of more than 100,000 “martyrs” killed by Indian forces in last two and half decades.
On the occasion, the KCEU Chairman, Ali Raza Syed and other speakers reiterated to continue to support the Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination.
The speakers stressed on the need of resolving the Kashmir dispute under the UN-supervised plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.
