Settlers Cut Down Olive and Almond Trees in South of Hebron

Hebron

Extremist settlers from Ma'on settlement south Hebron on Saturday cut down a number of olive and almond trees in Al Hamra area near Yatta town south of Hebron.

Coordinator of the South Hebron Hills Popular Resistance Committee against the Wall and the Settlements Rateb Jbour said that a group of settlers from Ma'on settlement attacked the agricultral lands in Al Hamra area and cut down a number of old olive and almond trees.

Al Jbour said that the trees belong to citizens from Rab'i family called Tayseer and Yasir Musa Rab'i.

These kind of violent attacks on Palestinian property are not new to the west bank settlers. Cutting down trees is an extremist act that is performed weekly on the Palestinian lands with no end in sight. Palestinian calls of intervention are rarely answered by the international community and human rights organizations.
