Shiv Sena chief Uddav Thackeray asked his leaders not to attend Devendra Fadnavis's oath ceremony on Friday.

“No talks (with Shiv Sena) are currently underway. Our whole focus is on making October 31 a grand success. We will resume talks only post that," a senior BJP leader told PTI, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

However, both BJP and Shiv Sena showed signs of a rapprochement earlier and a senior Shiv Sena leader commented that blood group of their party and BJP are same.

But on Thursday, BJP general secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy said, “It seems doubtful that any Shiv Sena minister take oath in on Friday. Discussion with Sena are on in an amicable atmosphere for a possible tie-up in Maharashtra but there has been no end -product yet."

Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister designate of Maharashtra, will be holding a series of meetings with BJP allies before finalising the list of names to be sent to the Governor for the swearing-in ceremony on Friday.
